Cyrille Simard has extensive experience in the fields of education, training and information technology applied to learning. As a trainer, project manager and consultant, he has dedicated his career to skills development and pedagogical innovation.
Since 2020, he has held the position of Vice-President of Development at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB). Previously, he ran his own knowledge management consulting firm for nearly twenty years, after having held various significant positions: international civil servant with the International Organization of La Francophonie, project manager in distance education, director of Continuing Education and distance education, and director of the Centre for Applied Multimedia at the Université de Moncton – Edmundston campus.
A sought-after speaker, he has led numerous workshops in Canada, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean on topics such as distance learning, technology integration in education, vocational and technical training, and emerging learning trends.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Simard is deeply involved in his community. He has contributed to several organizations and assumed the role of mayor of the city of Edmundston from 2012 to 2020, marking his passage with a strong commitment to local and community development.
